The Ramblings of an Idiot
For those of you who don’t know, back on September 11, 2001 the Los Angeles Kings lost two members of their family when scouts Mark Bavis and Garnet “Ace” Bailey were on Flight 175 (Bruce Boudreau was scheduled to be on it as well, but plans at the last moment saved him). The Kings still keep them in their thoughts, the mascot is named Bailey and they have a sticker on their helmets, and they’re not forgotten by hockey fans either

Per Puck Daddy:
Kings fan Dave Krasne, who lives in New York city, thought of the two scouts when the Kings won the Cup, and decided it wasn’t right that they miss Thursday’s Stanley Cup celebrations. He brought a hat to the memorial and laid it between them.

Kudos good sir
