From our friend Fel0096, Brodeur’s credited goal
First of all I apologize for my absence. Sorry, but covering a lockout just isn’t my cup and tea and even with social media at the tip of my fingers, it’s hard to keep up with so many leagues plus have a life…ok, maybe I don’t have a life, but you know what I mean.
Anyway, I thought this video was pretty neat. While the adults wonder if and when hockey will be back, the kids are busy playing it. From PredsBcast:
The Nashville Predators surprise a youth hockey game by bringing the full NHL experience to the rink. The families and kids are stunned to see and hear the NHL announcer, Paul McCann, the national anthem, Gnash, and about 250 fans take over the game.
This video is from last season, but I thought it was appropriate. Happy Veteran’s Day and thank you to everyone who has made the sacrifice.
Per NHLVideo:
The Boston Bruins honor our armed forces with a very special surprise for the parents of United States serviceman Lieutenant Charlie Jacobs.
This isn’t hockey, but this is why I love sports. For everything this man has gone through and is going through, just a few hours of a football game can still make him act young.
From Inside The NFL on Showtime:
Lifelong football fan Danny Webber had one last wish - to meet QB Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. With help from the Colts organization and wonderful workers at the Heritage House, his wish was granted. Watch as Inside the NFL cameras were there to capture this truly heart-warming story.
From LiveShowNews on Youtube Obama’s comments on the NHL lockout. And no, he didn’t say he was going to intervene.
Russia Today’s documentary on Lokomotiv called Leaving the Ice. Talks about the crash investigation and the player’s families
Remember Geno’s hat & boots the other day? Watch him play hockey in that getup.
If a lockout goes into December, he could get a job in The Nutcracker
